Ball Bearing Control Cables
|
The ball bearing control provides a highly efficient and accurate system which maximizes load capability while minimizing backlash. This control consists of three stainless steel blades, or races, separated by two rows of free-floating stainless steel balls positioned by stainless steel or Teflon ball guides.

Gearbox Operators
|
Orkal offers a wide range of rack and pinion gearboxes for aircraft applications. These boxes are precision cast and/or machined to meet the demanding applications and environment found on modern aircraft.
These input and output operators for control cables are designed and manufactured to high performance specifications to complement the low friction and minimal backlash performance of the control cable.

Sliding Control Cables
|
Sliding cables refer to all push/pull assemblies which utilize an internal core and external conduit. The core is typically made up of woven wire strands which operate within an enclosing conduit. The operating characteristics of these controls, efficiency, backlash, and minimum bend radii are determined by the materials of construction and size of the core and conduit.
Sliding controls have high load carrying capabilities and are more robust, but generally less efficient. They derive their name from the linear "sliding" motion of the core within the conduit.
Sliding controls can be used on virtually any application with a wide variety of configurations and sizes.
